Introduced to Pilates about 7 years ago, by a good friend who was training to become a Pilates teacher. I loved it and I have practised Pilates ever since. After taking up Pilates I found it complements my passion for running, staying healthy and fit. I love how Pilates tones and strengthens, gives you an amazing understanding of your body, increases flexibility whilst also providing moments of calm!
I trained as a Fitness Instructor when I left school and worked in a number of gyms training clients. I then went onto study for my degree in Social Work and have practised as a Social Worker in Children’s Services for the past five and a half years. I had my daughter in the summer of 2011 and my son some 19 months later, continuing with Pilates throughout both pregnancies. I found the balance of being a Mum and trying to work a very difficult one to strike and felt there must be more to life than rushing around trying to fit everything in. I felt that if I was going to leave my children then it needed to be for something I loved and was passionate about!
So….I decided to train as a Pilates teacher and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made! I am just at the beginning of my career and I can’t wait to develop and progress as a teacher. I hope that I can transfer my passion and love of Pilates to my clients and that they will enjoy coming to classes as much as I enjoy teaching them.
We now offer Pilates classes in two locations in East Suffolk as well as 1:1 and 2:1 classes on request.

At the beginning of January 2016 I am going to complete further training with Body Control Pilates. I will complete the Bone Health Course to expand and strengthen my knowledge of working with conditions such as Osteopenia and Osteoporosis. I will also complete the Children’s Programmes to allow me to work with children aged 5 – 16.
